Jade's on top of the World!


Esprit's British team member Jade Faulkner has this week heard the fabulous news she has been selected as part of the Great Britain team for the World Championships, to be held in Mie Japan on 7 September.

With 40 days until the 29th World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Mie (JPN) and team GBR having completed their final control ahead of the FIG nominative date, 9th August, we are delighted to confirm the selection of the following gymnasts and officials. Team GBR: Jade Faulkner – Esprit coached by Deb Hows Francesca Fox – City of Bath coached by Sarah Binding Francesca Jones – Nene Valley coached by Vicki Hawkins Nadya Aleksandrova – Coach / Head of Delegation Vicki Hawkins – Brevet Judge Louise Curley – Physio This will be Francesca Jones second World Championships, the first in Patras, (GRE) 2007, and for the rest of the delegation, their first World Championships. The team will depart 2nd September for Japan competing 7th September and depart from Japan 12th September. British Gymnastics wish the delegation a very successful Championships.

It is a brilliant achievement for Jade who has already competed many times for GB as a Junior and won team Bronze at this years Australian Youth Olympic games. This, her first major International as a Senior gymnast, is well deserved and proof of her hard work and dedication to the sport of Rhythmic Gymnastics.
